The Kuwaiti Society for Photography Arts was officially established and announced by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor in December 2017. The society aims to be an official umbrella and a meeting place for photographers in the State of Kuwait, fostering an environment of love, affection, and understanding. It serves as a platform for photographers and those interested in this field to meet, exchange experiences, and organize exhibitions and activities both within and outside the country.
Our Goals
- Preparing and following up on scientific research and studies in the field of photography.
- Working on the development of the art of photography in the State of Kuwait.
- Preparing and training technical cadres through programs and courses to raise awareness of the importance of photography and its role in society.
- Spreading artistic culture through exhibitions, seminars, and workshops by hosting specialists in the field of photography.
- Working and coordinating to participate in local and international cultural festivals.
- Organizing and judging photography competitions with the participation of accredited specialists from Kuwait and abroad.
- Coordinating with the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters.
- Collaborating and exchanging experiences between the society and its counterparts in Gulf, Arab, and international associations.
- Encouraging, nurturing, and refining young talents in the field of photography.
- The main headquarters of the society is to be within the State of Kuwait.
